What they won’t tell you about this
The bright, airy renovations create a lovely atmosphere! ! My comfy bed ensured a great night’s sleep, and the location is perfect for exploring local history.
Lack of consistent staff made service sporadic. I faced challenges with broken amenities and a disorganized breakfast area.

The stay was enjoyable with a lovely view of the river. The balcony offered a fantastic spot to relax while my teenage daughter enjoyed the local sights. The front desk staff treated us with warmth and professionalism, making us feel at home.
In my wife’s opinion, the cleaning service should have been better.

The beautiful atmosphere of the restored historic building makes it a charming place to stay. The room was clean and comfortably appointed. The restaurant offered good quality meals at reasonable prices, with generous portions. Unfortunately, the lamps in my room were not functioning, and I needed assistance from maintenance to resolve the issue. Additionally, parking options were limited to street availability.

missingWrote a review on 18 Aprfriendly staffhistoric charmscenic viewspoor cleanlinessstale odorlimited dining options
The stay started off with a beautiful view of the Alabama River. The location near the historic Edmund Pettus Bridge made for great sightseeing. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially Courtney at the front desk, who was sweet and accommodating. My room had a comfortable king bed and decent amenities. However, there were some issues. The room had a strange stale odor upon arrival and cleanliness wasn't up to par with hair left in the bathroom. Connecting to Wi-Fi was problematic. I also noticed that some outdated facilities could use an upgrade. The continental breakfast options were disappointing, and the restaurant only had a limited selection. Despite the hiccups, the hotel's charm and history made it a worthwhile experience.
